In memory of loved dogs
In the last month we have received a few orders for Night Lights based on adorable dog photos.
In both of these cases the dogs past away which gives it a whole new meaning. Losing a pet that has been with you for a while and been part of your family is never easy and leaves a void. I still remember losing my first dog when I was a pre-teen. We got him from a pound and right away we fell in love. He was a gentle soul and it was obvious that he felt the love and appreciated it. I guess he was sick when we brought him home and after a while it just took over. It was very hard for me to consider another dog after that (it was too painful) but eventually my parents got a new dog and we enjoyed his company for many years. I still look at photos of him and smile. A gentle giant is the best way to describe him.
I do hope these Night Lights bring some comfort to the owners and let the memories warm their hearts.

50th Wedding Anniversary
We often get older photos to work with and we love those. They usually require some TLC (touch ups to scratches and dust, eliminating background distractions, etc.) and this one was no exception.
We went back and forth with Kathy to make sure she is part of the decision on how to crop it and what to touch-up. We also learned that this is a 50th Wedding Anniversary gift for her parents. We asked her to write a few words and this is what she wrote:
"The picture is of my father & mother (Larry & Donna Cook) on their
wedding day, March 13, 1966. They are celebrating their 50th (golden) wedding
anniversary next month and I had this made to give to them on that date. I have
had several lights made from you for different occasions and you truly cannot
appreciate the art of your product until you see it in person. I am so pleased
with how this photo turned out, mainly because every time I look at the old
polaroid picture from 50 years ago, I see true happiness and bliss in their
faces and your light captured that exactly as the photo did. And even though
they have been through many ups and downs during this time, I still see this
same expression on their faces today. I am so proud of their love and the family
they have created and I feel blessed that I am a product of that true, pure, and
lasting love.
Thank you again for your correspondence and also for the
quality products that I receive from you every time I have something special
enough to capture."
We took some photos of the final lamp before sending it out to Kathy. These are our large personalized photo lamps in a golden frame (for the golden wedding anniversary, what else).
We are honored to be part of this occasion.
