We received an order with a photo of this very happy boy reading a book. In the order Paula wrote:
“This is a Christmas present to myself and i cannot wait to get it"

Later she wrote:
“YOU JUST DID A LIGHT OF MY 18 YEAR OLD SON AS A SMALL BOY.  HE WAS IN A UK HAT WITH A BOOK.  IT WAS ADORABLE.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! ”

We are glad it was a success. We smiled every time we looked at the photo.

Photo Gifts for cat lovers

We do get quite a lot of pet photos and we love to see their unique character. This cat is no exception. He seems so relaxed and content. Life is good for, apparently his name is Mr. Friskers.

Brother and Sister photo lamp

We received the following photo from a customer to create a 4x4 lamp. Our Design team cropped the photo to fit the size and proportions of the square lamp. After the customer approved, we created the lamp and shipped it to her.

She writes:
"This is my favorite picture of our children. They are best friends and love being together as you can see by the photo.The lamp was beautiful! Thanks again.

Selecting a photo

Often the hardest part when ordering the Light Affection photo gifts is to select the photo.

The main pointers to follow are:

1. Select a photo you really love! 
2. Make sure that the quality of the photo is good. What does that mean? well you can read more about it on our site.
3. If there are faces in the photo, are they clear or small? If they are small and lack detail, that is OK, all it means is that the result is going to be the same.
4. Does the photo have a lot of Dark areas or White areas? Take into account that the darkest the photo is the less light will go though and if it is a very bright photo, most probably a lot of light will shine through. Either are going to turn out fine.
5. Are there a lot of shaded patches in the photo? If the person in the photo is wearing a hat, you most probably will see the shading line of the hat on their face. Those shaded patches will appear in the final result as well. Just be aware of it
6. Since the Light Affection light is monochromatic, if you know your way around a photo editing software, you can take a look and see how the image looks like in Gray scale (as oppose to color) .

No matter what photo you sent, you are always welcome to add some remarks in the comments and our designers will try their best to fulfill those. If we aren't sure, our customer support will send you samples to get your approval.

Going back to my first point, no matter what photo you select, the most important part is that you love it!!
